About
Madiha Sattar grew up in Karachi, is now based in Dubai, and has lived in New York City and Cambridge, MA.
Her fiction has appeared in Glimmer Train, the Kenyon Review, Guernica, and the Life's Too Short Review of New Writing from Pakistan. She has attended the Tin House Writer's Workshop, and is working on a collection of short stories and a novel.
As a journalist she has covered politics, geopolitics, culture, security and US foreign policy in Pakistan. Her reporting and other non-fiction have appeared in The Economist, Foreign Policy online, The Common, The Caravan, India Today, and elsewhere. She has served on the editorial leadership team of Dawn, Pakistan's leading English newspaper, and its newsmagazine, the Herald.
Madiha has also spent several years in management consulting, financial services, and consumer and enterprise tech and fintech in New York and the UAE, and is an active angel investor.
She studied History & Literature at Harvard College.
