Madiha Sattar grew up in Karachi, studied in Cambridge, MA, lived and worked in New York City, and is now based in Dubai.
She has been a consumer and enterprise tech and fintech executive, spent time in management consulting and financial services, and is an active angel investor.
She is also a writer.
Her fiction has appeared in leading American and global publications including Glimmer Train, the Kenyon Review, Guernica, and the Life's Too Short Review of New Writing. She has attended the Tin House Writer's Workshop, and is working on a collection of short stories and a novel.
As a journalist she has covered politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and security, and reviewed literature and other cultural production. Her reporting and commentary have appeared in The Economist, Foreign Policy online, The Common, The Caravan, India Today, and elsewhere. She has served on the editorial leadership team of Dawn, Pakistan's leading English newspaper, and its newsmagazine, the Herald.
Madiha studied History & Literature at Harvard College.
